About

I’m a software engineer with over 15 years of experience building enterprise-level websites and web applications, with a focus on WordPress and open-source technologies.

Since 2012, I’ve been part of Fueled (formerly 10up), where I’ve grown from Web Engineer to Associate Director of Open Source Engineering. Over that time, I’ve had the opportunity to build, lead, and contribute to projects that power some of the web’s most recognizable brands.

My early years at 10up were spent deeply in the code — architecting large-scale WordPress solutions, crafting performant PHP and JavaScript, and solving complex challenges for enterprise clients. As my role evolved, I found equal passion in mentoring engineers, shaping technical direction, and helping teams deliver work that balances innovation with reliability.

For the last several years, my focus has been on e-commerce, particularly WooCommerce, extending it to meet advanced business needs, building integrations with major platforms, and supporting various partners with scalable, maintainable engineering.

Open source has been a defining thread throughout my career. I’ve contributed to WordPress core, authored and maintained public plugins, and supported community-driven tools that improve the developer experience across the ecosystem. I believe in leaving things better than I found them, whether that’s through cleaner code, stronger teams, or contributions that make the web a little better for everyone.

These days, my work spans PHP, JavaScript, React, Node.js, and TypeScript, with a growing emphasis on modern tooling and workflows that improve developer velocity and code quality.

Outside of coding, I enjoy collaborating with teams, mentoring engineers, and helping clients translate ideas into sustainable, well-engineered solutions.
